Once you’ve gotten everything you can out of your current RV, you’ll probably want to trade it in so that you can get a new model that has more of the features and amenities you want. At Price Right RV, we welcome all kinds of trades, however, there are some preparations you’ll want to tackle before your RV is ready to trade.

Clean Up Your Rig

First, you should take the time to thoroughly clean your RV inside and out. We recommend giving the exterior a good wash in addition to wiping down and sweeping the interior. Double check to make sure you’ve removed all of your personal belongings, including wall decorations, linens and curtains. Clear out all the cabinets and inspect them for signs of pest infestation, which you’ll need to deal with before you can sell your RV. Make sure it smells fresh and inviting.

Make Any Repairs

Next, you’ll want to check over your RV carefully to ensure that there are no glaring issues that could result in it not selling well or at all. Check each system, including the water system, for full functionality. Change the tires if they’re worn-down. Lubricate slide-outs and inspect the roof carefully for signs of damage or leakage. Replace any burned-out lightbulbs. Put yourself in the shoes of a potential buyer, and think about what might deter you from buying the rig.
